Designing the Future

Combining EPS Group’s 50 + years and DPS’ 40 years of water industry experience and advanced engineering techniques,
EPS & DPS can now offer market leading treatment and pumping technology, delivered through digital engineering methods, providing a higher degree of adaptability, safety, efficiency and continuity in delivery.

Behind the Delivery

How we get there

>

Innovation Through Collaboration

Innovation within EPS Group & DPS is predominantly based on our people and our culture. With our industry experience, in-house knowledge, capabilities and commitment to innovate, we consistently strive to rethink the delivery of solutions for our customers and clients. We achieve this through collaboration with our supply chain, customers and key partners.

Collaboration while knowing that the best solution is the safest solution. Collaboration and development of the best solution within a BIM environment giving a complete view of performance, sustainability and whole life cost.

>

Digital Engineering

Digital Engineering is at the core of what we do in EPS Group & DPS, providing the tools and opportunities to offer far greater support and better solutions to our customers. Our design engineers interact on a daily basis, in many cases with our clients’ in-house design teams; with customers across Ireland; the UK and further afield, initiating concept designs; developing solutions and adding value through the implementation of DfMA thinking and project delivery.

We use our digital engineering platforms to encourage planning; information sharing; federation of designs; cost viability; lean thinking and effective change management while challenging waste and inefficiencies.

Leading the Way

As part of EPS Group, our ever expanding digital engineering capability is providing all the tools and opportunity for us to offer far greater support and better solutions for our customers.

EPS – supported by Enterprise Ireland – began the road to BIM in 2014, and through the benefits seen by our clients, took another step on this road in 2017 with the development of the EPS Digital Engineering strategy. DPS is now part of this strategy and offers the benefits and expertise of EPS Group’s support to our customers across Northern Ireland.

We use 3D design; 4D planning and visualisation with the use of laser scanning; barcode stock management and advanced manufacturing techniques to design; integrate; plan; produce; deliver; install and commission industry leading solutions.

Key Enabling Tools

Early engagement, digital design, collaborative planning and virtual assembly and commissioning, all of which are integrated into our systems and processes are vital to deliver successful DfMA projects.

FAQs

What is Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA)?

Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) is an engineering approach that allows systems and equipment to be manufactured and assembled off-site before being delivered for installation. This improves quality, reduces on-site construction time and enhances safety.

We provide specialist contracting services for water, wastewater and industrial process projects, including off-site manufacturing, package plant construction, mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning and project delivery.

Off-site construction reduces programme times, improves quality, enhances health and safety, minimises site disruption and enables factory testing before equipment is delivered to site.

We deliver specialist contracting solutions for municipal water and wastewater, utilities, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, environmental infrastructure and data centre projects.

Yes. Every project is designed around the client’s operational requirements. Our engineering team develops bespoke off-site assemblies using digital engineering and DfMA principles.

Yes. We support projects from concept and design through manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning and ongoing technical support.

Digital engineering uses advanced 3D modelling, BIM, laser scanning and collaborative design tools to improve project planning, coordination and delivery while reducing risk and improving efficiency.
