Veolia Water Outsourcing Limited operates Ballynacor WwTW under a PPP contract with NI Water. Over time the Interstage Pumping Station and primary settlement tanks distribution chamber structure have both deteriorated and are now in need of repair. A structural investigation was carried out to identify the cause, extent, severity and significance of the visually apparent deterioration of the internal concrete surfaces and make recommendations for the life cycle management of the structure.

Project Scope

  • Enabling works including tank isolation, cleaning and rescue team

  • Installation of new Techno cover over Interstage Pumps and new GRP cover over primary settlement tanks distribution chamber

  • Design, supply, install and commission a new bespoke skid mounted Monashell biotrickling filter

  • Relocate the existing STC import odour control equipment to serve the PFT/ Sludge and Scour Area

  • Full civil repair to Interstage Pumping Station and Primary Settlement Distribution Chamber.

  • Design, supply, install and commission a new bespoke skid mounted Monashell biotrickling filter for the Interstage Area.
