EPS supports Local & International Charity Organisations

EPS recently made a contribution to three local charities and the Oxfam Syria Crisis Appeal.  The local charities were selected from within each of the three main regions in which EPS operates in Ireland.  The selected charities were Pieta House for the Leinster region, Mayo Roscommon Hospice for the Connaught region and Mallow United Special Olympics Team for the Munster region.

We are delighted to support these worthy charities. As a local company operating within the community, we believe it is important to have a strong commitment to our local area

About the Charities

Pieta House

Pieta House is a Suicide and Self-Harm Crisis Centre, offering a confidential, free-of-charge counselling service. As 90% of their income comes from fundraising events, they rely heavily on the support and encouragement of its volunteers and the friends of Pieta.

Mayo Roscommon Hospice

The Mayo Roscommon Hospice provides palliative care services to people with life limiting illnesses and their families in County Mayo and County Roscommon.  The service is available free of charge for patients in their own homes and in the hospitals and nursing homes throughout Mayo and Roscommon.  This year the hospice has to raise €1.3 million through fundraising efforts and donations to fund approx.  50% of the existing service costs.

Mallow United Special Olympics Team

Mallow United Special Olympics Team is a sports organisation which provides training and competition opportunities to teenagers with an intellectual disability. It provides far more than just the physical benefits of sport; the teenagers develop both physically and emotionally, make new friends and know they can fit in.

Oxfam Syria Crisis Appeal

The conflict in Syria has resulted in a severe and worsening emergency. More than 2 million refugees have fled into neighbouring countries. Those who have fled are in desperate need of shelter, food, water and medical care.
