DESCRIPTION
We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager from ideally a Mechanical or Electrical background to join our busy Contracts team based in Bangor, Co Down. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Project Engineer with ambitions to develop their career in project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage all aspects of the project from contract award to client handover
• Oversee design development through close liaison with all designers, taking responsibility for design deliverables such as GA’s, P&ID’s PFD’s, Schematics, DRA’s and review of same
• Purchasing and acquisition of labour, equipment and materials
• Project planning and monitoring. Preparation of, updating & reporting against project programmes, ensuring all project milestones and reporting requirements are achieved
• Management & organisation of site personnel & external contractors. Liaising with both suppliers and clients through progress meetings & site visits
• Monitoring project budgets and updating cost trackers
• Responsible for the health, safety & well-being of all personnel on site, ensuring all work place procedures and policies are known and adhered to
• Preparation and coordination of all project documentation including, design documents, engineering reports, RAMS, operation & maintenance manuals, commissioning and Health & Safety File content
• Working with and supporting the client after the construction phase for training and support
• Liaising with and reporting to the Contracts Manager and providing timely updates on progress
• Assisting with tenders as required – design, pricing and quality documentation
REQUIREMENTS
• Experience of working in the design, build or operate phases of industrial projects in the Water, Wastewater or Food & Beverage sectors
• Experience and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams through all phases of the project including safety and commercial matters
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management
• Comfortable being responsible and making required decisions for project success
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and working knowledge of Autodesk design packages
• Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
• Experience and knowledge of common processes and equipment employed in the Water & Wastewater Treatment sector
• Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Third level Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering degree/Diploma or relevant experience will be considered
