DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for various municipal & industrial works throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to join a fast paced and innovative company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with a large range of mechanical equipment & materials. Including, but not limited to, pumps, specialist mechanical equipment in water and wastewater, small to large bore pipework, and access metal works
- Carrying out a range of new or modifying existing installations
- To investigate, inspect, maintain, repair and service a range of mechanical equipment
- To perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged mechanical equipment & installations as required.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repair on a range of equipment
- Strong technical skills with a good understanding of engineering drawings
- Reporting to your Line Manager and updating on progress
- To complete all job-related paperwork and documentation as required
- To discuss ongoing works with site teams
- To follow all company / customer HSQE policies and procedures
- To perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time to time
REQUIREMENTS
Skills / Attributes
- Previous experience working in municipal and industrial applications
- Pump installation and maintenance experience would be desirable
- NVQ/ City and Guilds qualifications in engineering/welding/fabrication would be desirable
- Site supervisor CSR/CSCS Gold Card would be desirable
- Willing to train junior employees/ apprentices
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision
- A clean full UK driving licence
