Founded as Drilling & Pumping Supplies in 1983, as a supplier of drilling equipment and small agricultural and quarry pumps, DPS has since grown steadily and evolved to meet the growing market demand for pumping equipment and bespoke projects.

DPS has now become established as the leading supplier of high quality pumping, treatment and wet infrastructure equipment throughout Ireland.


We are looking to recruit an Electrician to join our team, based in Bangor, Co Down. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a fast paced and innovative company.

They will primarily be responsible for completing electrical activities within our service division and, as required, support our projects and installation teams.

Duties will cover electrical installation & service on municipal, industrial and wastewater treatment plants, various pump and control related tasks across several clients in Northern Ireland with periodic travel to support our clients in the Republic of Ireland.


  • Reporting to the Service / Operations Manager and providing daily updates on progress
  • Work with a broad range of mechanical/electrical equipment & materials including, but not limited to, pumps and specialist equipment in water and wastewater
  • Engage with project management and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery on site
  • Support DPS Trainee Programme and develop future electrical engineers to a high standard
  • Conduct on site activities to a high standard and in line with clients’ expectations
  • Engage with DPS customers and supply chain in a professional manor
  • Site visits as needed to establish customer needs and develop plan for delivery
  • Maintaining a high standard of service and communication with customers
  • Completing all job-related paperwork and documentation as needed
  • Ensure service jobs are conducted in compliance with our HSQE policies and procedures and where required, work to site specific method statements and risk assessments
  • To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • To perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time


  • Previous experience working in water and wastewater applications (desirable)
  • Qualified Electrician
  • ICA experience is highly desirable
  • Willing to train junior employees/ apprentices
  • Excellent fault finding/diagnostic skills
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A clean full UK driving licence
