DESCRIPTION

We are seeking to recruit a Contracts Manager, ideally from a Mechanical or Electrical background to join our busy Contracts team based in Bangor, Co Down. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Project Manager with ambitions to further their career or an experienced Contracts Manager looking for new challenges and opportunities to continue personnel development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take overall responsibility for managing the day to day running and growth of the Contracts Division
• Manage, lead, mentor & develop a multi-disciplinary contracts team to deliver projects to required targets for quality, safety, programme & budget
• Proactively manage all aspects of project delivery through design, procurement, installation, commissioning & handover
• Take commercial lead and be adept at engaging with all stakeholders to negotiate, resolve, agree and escalate as required all contractual and commercial matters resulting in positive outcomes for the business and clients alike
• Ensure highest levels of health, safety & well being for all staff, labour and others involved in the delivery of our projects by setting standards and communicating all company procedures, policies and methodologies to staff, sub-contractors and clients alike
• Encourage and lead innovation and opportunities for off-site manufacture
• Continuous monitoring of project programmes to ensure targets and business efficiencies are maintained
• Monthly reporting to company management on all project key parameters including HSQE, commercial, programme and quality

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in Contract Management & ability to manage, mentor and develop team members
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and working knowledge of Autodesk design packages
• Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
• Experience in Commercial aspects of Contract Management and Conditions of Contract
• Experience and knowledge of common processes and equipment employed in the Water & Wastewater Treatment sector
• Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proven experience in delivery of projects with strong emphasis on H & S
• Third level Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering degree/Diploma or similar relevant degree
